Shenzhen Kaifa Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. (KAIFA) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Open Joint Stock Company “National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan” (NEGK). This initiative serves as a primary pillar of the "Kyrgyz Electricity Modernization and Sustainable Development Project (KEMS)," a comprehensive program designed to overhaul the nation’s legacy energy infrastructure through advanced digitalization and smart grid integration.

Following a rigorous competitive process, KAIFA emerged as the partner of choice, leveraging its extensive experience and proven track record in Central Asia to support the Ministry’s vision for a standardized and transparent power metering framework. The project will cover critical load centers, including the capital city of Bishkek, the Chuy region, and the southern economic hub of Osh.

This partnership focuses on integrating smart hardware and software solutions tailored to the unique demands of the local environment. At its core, KAIFA will implement smart meters managed by a high-performance Head-End System (HES). A key highlight is the large-scale deployment of KAIFA’s WB-PLC + RF communication technology. This cutting-edge solution is engineered to maintain seamless connectivity even in remote or geographically complex areas where traditional signals often falter. By transitioning from legacy systems to a high-precision digital architecture, the project aims to significantly reduce non-technical losses and optimize grid operational efficiency. Furthermore, KAIFA’s solution adheres to stringent international cybersecurity protocols, ensuring the integrity of the national energy data network throughout its service life.
Beyond technical deployment, the KEMS project serves as a cornerstone of the Social Safety Net (UBK). KAIFA’s implementation provides the granular transparency essential to shielding low-income and vulnerable households from the fluctuations of energy tariff reforms. Parallel to these social protections, KAIFA is driving local economic empowerment through the creation of high-value technical roles and specialized training programs for Kyrgyz personnel.
