KAIFA Debuts at CNSA 2026: Advancing Brazil’s Smart Water Transformation Through Live Data & Lasting Accuracy

KAIFA made its debut at the 54º Congresso Nacional de Saneamento da Assemae (CNSA 2026), held from May 25 to 28, presenting its technical portfolio for Latin America’s public utilities under the theme “Live Data, Lasting Accuracy.” As a prominent regional platform for water management, sanitation policies, and technical exchange, this year’s congress focused on "Industry Credibility, Technological Excellence, and Socio-Environmental Responsibility."

In response to the operational challenges faced by Brazilian and Latin American utilities, KAIFA introduced its latest ultrasonic smart water solutions, designed to minimize measurement inaccuracies, reduce non-revenue water (NRW), and optimize long-term resource management.

Curbing Non-Revenue Water: Driving Proactive Leakage Control with "Live Data, Lasting Accuracy"

KAIFA’s smart water solutions translate technical precision into practical tools for reducing NRW. By replacing wear-prone mechanical meters with KAIFA’s NB-IoT ultrasonic smart water meter series, utilities can ensure "Lasting Accuracy" over an extended lifecycle. This precision guarantees reliable billing and optimized network distribution, even under complex operational environments and harsh water conditions in Brazil.

Building on this foundational accuracy, NB-IoT connectivity replaces manual readings with an automated, high-frequency data collection system. This architecture unlocks the true power of "Live Data," allowing water companies to monitor pipeline flow and pressure fluctuations in real time.

With live data and lasting accuracy, utilities can transition from reactive maintenance to predictive management. Water companies can instantly pinpoint pressure anomalies, background leaks, and unauthorized water use, shifting operations to a proactive model that directly reduces water waste and improves profitability.

Expert Perspectives: Smart Water Management Tailored for Regional Challenges

During a technical keynote, Mauricio Cruz, Business Development Director for Brazil, shared insights on transforming raw data into utility intelligence.

"The true value of water digitization lies in converting raw meter data into actionable operational insights," said Mauricio Cruz. KAIFA’s Water Management System—which integrates a head-end system, meter data management, and workforce management—works alongside its AI leakage control platform. Utilizing district metered area analytics and minimum night flow assessments, the system forecasts demand spikes and locates subtle leaks to lower NRW.

To balance Brazil’s high leakage rates with constrained capital budgets, KAIFA advocates for a flexible, dual-track architecture: a full-scale AMI path featuring high-turndown-ratio ultrasonic meters with remote valve control for comprehensive overhauls, alongside a cost-effective AMR retrofit path that deploys advanced IoT smart data loggers onto existing mechanical meters for rapid digital upgrades without heavy capital investment.

"This kind of tailored, localized solution demands not only robust technical support but also a long-term commitment to rooting ourselves in the local market," said Xin Chen, Regional Sales Director for Latin America at KAIFA. "Water infrastructure projects require decades of stability, and long-termism is our core philosophy. We build credibility through local technical support and reliable service for public utilities."

Brazilian Roots, Global Excellence: Building Trust Through Localized Delivery

The scaling of technologies and long-term service delivery rely on local industrial roots. To meet localization requirements and ensure stable project delivery, KAIFA has established its first overseas wholly owned manufacturing facility in the Manaus Free Trade Zone, which began commercial delivery this year.

The Manaus facility mirrors KAIFA’s global quality standards and digital operations. The smart meters manufactured here will serve the Brazilian market and expand across Latin America, acting as a regional supply chain hub. Furthermore, KAIFA’s localized operations support the domestic economy by creating skilled jobs and adhering to local environmental and labor regulations, ensuring integration into Brazil's socio-economic framework.

By integrating its manufacturing capabilities with Brazil's industrial ecosystem, KAIFA is building reliable utility partnerships. Moving forward, KAIFA will continue to uphold its promise of "Live Data, Lasting Accuracy," partnering with Latin American water utilities to reduce resource waste and achieve a digitally empowered future.
